"Business Schools in the AI Era"

The theme "Business Schools in the AI Era" focuses on how management education must evolve to remain relevant in a rapidly AI-driven economy. It emphasizes reimagining curricula, pedagogy, research, and industry collaboration to prepare future leaders with digital, ethical, and strategic AI competencies.

Sub-Themes

Session A: Strategic Leadership and Governance in the Age of AI

This plenary session will focus on how Vice Chancellors, Deans, and senior academic leaders can steer institutional transformation in the AI era. It will explore the evolving role of strategic leadership in shaping vision, policy, and governance frameworks that enable responsible and effective AI adoption across universities. The discussion will also address key governance challenges — including ethics, capacity building, and change management — required to future-proof business schools.

Session B: Business Transformation through AI and Implications for Future Work / Challenges and Opportunities AI offers to Banking and Financial Sector

This plenary session will bring together 4-5 CEOs from leading organizations to share real-world insights on how AI is transforming their industries, business models, and workforce dynamics. Panelists will highlight success stories, lessons learned, and emerging skill demands in the AI-driven economy. The discussion will culminate in actionable recommendations for business schools on curriculum, research priorities, and industry engagement to better prepare graduates for the future of work.

Session C: Faculty Capacity Building for AI-Enabled Higher Education

This session will focus on the urgent need to equip faculty with the knowledge, skills, and pedagogical approaches required to teach in an AI-integrated learning environment. Academicians will discuss emerging competencies, faculty development models, and institutional support systems necessary to effectively integrate AI into teaching, research, and assessment. The session will highlight practical pathways for building a future-ready academic workforce.

Session D: Responsible and Ethical AI in Digital Transformation

This session will explore the ethical, social, and regulatory dimensions of AI adoption in business and higher education. Experts will discuss issues such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, transparency, and accountability, highlighting the role of business schools in embedding responsible AI principles into curricula, research, and institutional practices. The discussion will aim to identify frameworks that ensure innovation while safeguarding societal trust.

Session E: Reimagining Curriculum and Pedagogy for the AI Era

This session will examine how business schools can redesign curricula, teaching methodologies, and assessment practices to align with the demands of an AI-driven economy. Discussions will also cover the Higher Education Commission policy direction on integrating AI-related courses into academic programs. Experts will explore AI literacy, interdisciplinary learning, experiential approaches, and industry collaboration to ensure graduates develop critical thinking, digital fluency, and adaptive skills. The session will highlight innovative pedagogical models that strengthen learning outcomes in an AI-enabled education ecosystem.
