Introduction:

In an increasingly complex and competitive educational environment, business school leaders are expected to move beyond administrative management and become strategic visionaries, capable of anticipating future trends, driving innovation, and positioning their institutions for long-term relevance and impact. This training program equips academic leaders with the mindset, tools, and frameworks to reimagine their institutions, foster academic excellence, and create value-driven, future-ready business schools.

Notes:
  1. Workshop/Seminar Registration Fee:  30,000/-PKR.
  2. In case of replacements, transfer and refund, participant should officially notify via email/letter to NBEAC 10 working days prior to the workshop. After that NBEAC will not entertain any claims and changes.
  3. NBEAC may cancel or postpone a workshop/program due to insufficient registration or unforeseen** circumstances. In this case, NBEAC will refund registration fee but will not be responsible for any other related expenses including cancellation charges by airline and travel agencies.
  4. In case of postponement, the fee may be transferred to the rescheduled offering of that workshop or any other workshop as an alternate to refund. The NBEAC reserves the right to make changes in its program policies and fees at any time.

** If unforeseen circumstances occurs during the workshop and one day before the scheduled workshop, NBEAC will not refund the registration fee.
The Training and Development Wing of the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) successfully conducted a two-day training program titled “Developing Visionary Business School Leaders” on December 15–16, 2025, at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi.

In an increasingly complex and competitive higher education landscape, the program was designed to move academic leadership beyond routine administration toward strategic, visionary, and future-oriented leadership. The training brought together Deans, Directors, Associate Deans, Heads of Departments, Program Coordinators, senior faculty members, and academic administrators involved in strategy, quality assurance, and institutional development from across the country.

The program focused on equipping participants with the mindset, tools, and frameworks required to anticipate future trends, drive innovation, and position business schools for long-term relevance and impact. Through interactive sessions, practical frameworks, and leadership discussions, participants explored ways to reimagine their institutions, foster academic excellence, strengthen governance, and promote ethical and sustainable leadership practices in business education.

By the conclusion of the training, participants demonstrated a clearer understanding of visionary and transformative leadership, strategic foresight, inclusive academic cultures, and value-driven institutional growth aligned with global best practices.

The training program was facilitated by distinguished academic leaders Dr. Jawad Syed, Professor at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), and Dr. Zahoor Hassan Syed, Professor Emeritus at LUMS. Drawing on their extensive academic, leadership, and research experience, the facilitators guided participants through critical perspectives on visionary leadership, strategic foresight, ethical governance, and transformative practices in business education. Their insightful deliberations and practical frameworks enabled participants to critically reflect on leadership challenges and opportunities within the evolving higher education ecosystem.

The training also featured a panel discussion on the local context, with esteemed professionals including Prof. Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder (Vice Chancellor, Salim Habib University, Karachi), Prof. Dr. Tariq Rahim Soomro (Rector, Institute of Business Management, Karachi), Dr. Zaki Rashidi (Dean, Iqra University, Karachi Campus), and Brigadier (R.) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abbas (Professor and Dean, College of Computer Science & Information Systems, Institute of Business Management, Karachi). Their insights added considerable value to the program.
