Mission Statement: “Enhancing Quality of Business Education”

Educational accreditation is a type of quality assurance process under which services and operations of an educational institution or program are evaluated by an external body to determine if prescribed standards are met.

Accreditation acts both as a status and a process.  Accreditation as status provides public notification that a program meets standards of quality set forth by an accrediting body. As a process, accreditation reflects the fact that in achieving recognition by accrediting body, the institution or program is committed to self-study and external review by one’s peers in seeking not only to meet standards but to continuously seek ways in which to enhance the quality of education and training provided.

The key purpose of accreditation includes using standards of evaluation

  • To ensure quality of education
  • To encourage institutions for continuous improvement of quality education
  • To ensure the accountability of educational institutions
  • To provide public/stakeholders confidence in educational institutions
  • To develop the list of approved Evaluators by the Council.
